I bet you're already seeing the hashtag #lfdw. The Lagos fashion and design week is back and it's it fifth year running. The event schedule is on the website www.lfdw.com Fashion and beauty trends for 2016 will be displayed by Nigerian designers. The event is powered by Heineken and British Council.

THE LAGOS POETRY FESTIVAL (OCT 30-OCT 31)
The very first international poetry festival in Nigeria is birthed here in lagos come Friday October 30 and Saturday 31st. This event will feature spoken word, poetry and panel discussions which will be hosted by the amiable Wana Udobang. Make it a date!

WHAT IS THE AVANTGARDE LIFESTYLE?
I would love to share with you first,what Avantgarde means to me.

Avantgarde is unconventional.
Avantgarde is true.
Avantgarde is original.
Avantgarde is Liberal.
These adjectives are just a slice of what Avantgarde is. Being Avantgarde is refusing to accept the norm, developing 'crazy' ideas.You can call it 'abnormal' or 'insane',it still fits in somewhere.
Now that the idea of Avantgarde is established, what then is The Avantgarde Lifestyle?
Everything new,fresh,urban,original.............you can fill the space with the rest of the adjectives above. The Avantgarde Lifestyle represents all of these and more.
